Go to the Spotify search bar on the Spotify app and there enter this search operator along with the username of the person you want to follow, after the semicolon in the place of the ‘ USERNAME’.There is one search operator in Spotify, which you can use to directly go to any Spotify user’s profile you want and from there you can follow that person. This method will help you find someone without their username. Note that this only works on the Spotify web player or the desktop app, but if you want to try this method from your mobile, then just copy the link of the playlist that your friend shared and then open the link in desktop mode in your web browser.

Click on that username and the user’s Spotify profile page will open, there you will have the option to follow them.

Open the playlist link in your web browser or from your desktop app and right below the playlist name, you will see the username of the user who created it.

A playlist can be created on the mobile app or the desktop app or even from the web version of Spotify. After that name your playlist and playlist will be created.But if that person does not have any existing playlist, they can easily create one by tapping the ‘ Create Playlist‘ option in their library.Ask your friend to share the link of a playlist from their library through any social media apps which you both use.
